The Need
Child sexual abuse is a serious problem in our society. Each year the reported number of children being abused continues to climb. The Center serves more than 850 victims of child sexual abuse each year
The Process
When a report of sexual abuse is made, several agencies become involved in the investigation and treatment of the child. This can be frightening and confusing to families and children. The Children's Advocacy Center coordinates the services of medical, mental health, prosecution, law enforcement and social workers under one roof to ensure that children are protected and treated with respect.
